There are now some 60,000 incarcerated persons in France — i.e. 50 % more than in 1983. The rise in the prison population corresponds only too well to a general tendency in Europe : criminalization of poverty, a policy that in itself leads to a growing pauperization of the prison milieu. The latter phenomenon hits the inmates, who are confronted with alarming survival conditions (lack of hygiene, poorly balanced nutrition, and grimy, dilapidated buildings).

sex : prevention, not risk reduction
15 août 2002When you suck a cock without a condom, you’re taking a risk. Likewise when you lick a cunt without a dental dam. That these risks are slight changes nothing ; they exist, and the only way to avoid them is to use condoms or dental dams. There is no vaccine, nor any other means of protection.

will shortly force us to reduce certain activities in order to survive. Less than a year from the presidential

committing with us to the fight against AIDS, or by helping to fund our projects. -

Almost 10 000 people die of AIDS every day.
Today we know how to fight the epidemic ; we know that HIV-infected people in developing countries are not doomed, but can be kept alive ; we know what treatments to implement.
And yet, the epidemic keeps spreading ; every year millions of people are infected and die.
There is only one explanation for this state of things : world leaders refuse to (...)
